Mademoiselle Yvette is a minor character in the Jem animated series, appearing only in the episode Mardi Gras. She is an elderly hostess who lives with her butler in Maison Fleur Mansion.
She was voiced by Marlene Aragon.
History[]
Yvette secretly invites Jem and The Holograms to take part in the yearly Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans and graciously extends the use of her home for the rock group to stay in. She is a descendant of Lily LaRose, and tells the story of her ancestor's forbidden love affair with an infamous pirate. She has a strong belief in ghosts and supernatural beings.
Yvette is a warm and kindhearted lady, as she provides The Holograms with support throughout the episode, with acts of kindness such as providing them chamomile tea to help them sleep and ensuring they attended scheduled appearances. She also cares a lot about her heritage and inheritances; her mansion Maison Fleur seems to undergo an electricity outage whilst Jem and The Holograms stay there, and Yvette works hard to make sure it gets fixed. She explains that the publicity from the group wearing the ancient jewels would increase business at the mansion and would promote it well enough for her to maintain it.
