Wolfgang Mozart is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He was introduced in the 49th episode, Journey Through Time. He is a characterized version of the real life Mozart.
He was voiced by Cam Clarke.
History[]
Mozart meets Jem and The Holograms when they are suddenly transported back in time to Vienna in 1781, as he prepares a composition for a royal concert. Jem acknowledges him as one of the most influential, famous, and prolific composers of the Classical period. He is portrayed as bubbly and intelligent, occasionally anxious, but ultimately kind-hearted. This is demonstrated when the Holograms travel to another time and he stands against protesters who accuse the girls of being witches. He also faces a rival, Solieri, who seeks to sabotage his performances. Though he shares a close bond with his girlfriend, Constanza, Aja shows subtle signs of romantic interest in him, charmed by his good looks and cheerful personality, though this is only lightly suggested in this episode.
Appearance[]
Mozart has blue eyes. He wears a white wig styled in a ponytail, which is tied with a blue ribbon, along with a ruffled white-and-blue period coat and and critical period style trousers.

Trivia[]
- He is inspired by real-life Classical period music composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
- The rivalry between the real-life Mozart with Antonio Salieri was never real, and was only based on the 1979 play Amadeus.
- In the show, he is only referred to as Wolfgang, Wolfie or Mozart, and never as Amadeus.
- There are no known records or testimonies that prove the real Mozart's laugh was as it is depicted in the show. This trait of the historical character is likely instead based on his portrayal in the 1984 film, Amadeus, played by Tom Hulce.
