Sally Brand is a minor character in the Jem animated series. She is a wealthy and popular landowner and also the founder of the World Hunger Shindig.
History[]
Sally Brand is introduced to Jem and The Holograms after inviting them to perform at her charity gig, the World Hunger Shindig. She sets a challenge of procuring an $8,000,000 sum to go toward the World Hunger Foundation, of which her friend Miss Ellen Sue is chairwoman. She has also hired Eric Raymond as the promoter of the concert, and Sean Harrison to be the big name draw. Sally invites Jem and The Holograms to stay at her manor, where they go for a picnic and a horse-ride. She is said to own an office in Houston.
She puts her foot down when The Misfits try to scheme their way into the concert, allowing them to perform, but not to be on the live album. She appears wise to Eric's shady persona, and tries to keep a close eye on him - but fails to catch him stealing money from the concert's proceeds, which fortunately are brought back by Jem. She is horrified by Eric's actions and forces him to donate his $50,000 promotion fee, which is enough to reach the grand total and she celebrates with The Holograms.
