Saint-Jacques is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is a fashion designer in charge of creating the costumes the actors will wear in Red Johnny Mac's rock opera, Beauty and the Beast.
History[]
Monsieur Saint-Jacques is a fashion designer with a marked French accent hired to design all the costumes the actors will be wearing in Red Johnny Mac's upcoming rock opera, Beauty and the Beast, starring Jem and The Holograms.
He is actually first seen in a dream Jerrica has after falling asleep while studying her lines for the play. The Beast orders Saint-Jacques to enter the room and the fashionista does so while carrying many boxes containing his latest creations. Beauty, played by Jem, proceeds to try all these dresses; however, even if they are exquisite and in good taste, she doesn't show herself to be very excited for any, much to Saint-Jacques' disappointment. Beauty tries to comfort him, telling him it's not his fault and that his Fashions are the most beautiful she's ever seen, but (turning to stare at the Beast) that this is not the way to her heart.
Jerrica wakes up from her dream the next morning and the rehearsals continue the next few days. After a few setbacks, the play's preview night finally arrives and it turns out to be a big hit. The real life Saint-Jacques then joins the celebration backstage, telling everyone that he already has hundreds of orders for his Fashions, result of all the photoshoots The Holograms took while modeling them.

Trivia[]
- In the episode, both Saint-Jacques and Jem refer to his creations as "Fashions", which is the actual name used to refer to the different costumes that were released for Hasbro's Jem toyline.
- During the dream sequence, Jem can be seen wearing many recognizable Fashions, such as her "Purple Fantasy" dress, her "Glitter 'n Gold" costume, her "Broadway Magic" stage dress, and also her own "Beauty" dress exclusively designed for the play.
- However, it's worth noting that most of these Fashions had already appeared in previous episodes (some designed by Synergy herself as holograms), so their creation cannot be attributed to Saint-Jacques; more so, since this scene only happened in a dream.
