History[]

Carfax County is about to name their new Lord, Reginald Carfax. However, not everybody is happy about this due to the recent harsh collection of high taxes that have left the population in poverty. Fortunately, a new hero has risen to fight against this corrupt regime, Robin Goodfellow, an outlaw vigilante who steals the collected taxes money to give it back to the poor villagers.

A Renaissance fair is established as part of the celebrations for Reginald's entitlement the next day, where Jem and The Holograms are invited to perform, accompanied by Danse to embellish their show with her choreographics. After the concert, the girls witness how Robin and his sidekick, Jolly Jack, ambush a pair or royal guards and steal a couple of money bags from them. The girls try to go in their pursuit but they manage to escape.

That night, the girls cross paths with Robin once again, although this time they find him giving the stolen money back to the poor villagers. This convinces Danse that he may be honest and true. When Robin sees Danse, he is immediately bewildered by her.

The next day, Reginald, under suggestion of his advisor, Duncan Broadbent, announces that in the spirit of that day's archery competition, he'll offer a prize of £5,000 for the winner. However, this happens to be only a trick to lure Goodfellow out and apprehend him. Suspecting precisely this, Danse ventures into the nearby woods to try to warn Robin. She manages to find him and speaks her mind, although Robin tells her that he knows it's a trap, but that he'll enter the tournament anyway and allow himself to get arrested so he can search for evidence inside the castle to prove Reginald's illegitimacy as heir to the Lordship.

Things transpire just as planned and Robin is arrested and taken to the castle's dungeons. Unfortunately, he is unable to escape from his cell. Meanwhile, The Holograms, Danse and Jolly Jack also infiltrate the castle on their own and head to the dungeons to rescue Robin. After various futile attempts, Jolly Jack manages to break apart the metal lock of Robin's cell with his quarterstaff. While exploring the castle, the group comes across a treasury containing all the gold and money that Reginald had unfairly taken away from the people.

Midnight is approaching and with it Reginald's official entitlement as Lord of Carfax. In order to create some distraction and buy them some time, the girls and Jolly Jack fill some fireworks they found with money from the treasury and launch them at the castle, while Robin does a frontal assault and starts fighting against the royal guards.

Meanwhile, Jem is still inside the castle looking for evidence against Reginald, when suddenly she hears a sad plea coming from behind a nearby wall. Noticing that the cement is still fresh, she pulls out the bricks and finds an old man wearing an iron mask inside, who tells her he can prove that Reginald isn't the rightful heir.

The clock starts striking twelve and the fight in the courtyard continues, when Jem suddenly comes out and presents the old man to the townspeople gathered there as Lord Carfax, rightful owner of Carfax's Lordship. The man then approaches Robin to thank him for his courage, and also reveals to him to actually be his father. Much to everybody's astonishment, Lord Carfax proceeds to tell his story: Nearly 20 years ago, Duncan imprisoned him inside his own catacombs. He then cast away Robin as an orphan and claimed his own son, Reginald, as the heir of Carfax's Lordship. Learning the truth, the royal guards turn against Reginald and Duncan, and Robin becomes the new Lord of Carfax.

The next day, Robin, Danse and The Holograms are seen partaking in a dance ball in the castle. Robin asks Danse to stay with him and rule at his side, but Danse politely turns him down, saying that she doesn't "believe in whirlwind romances". Robin then asks her if he may have just one last dance to remember her by, to which Danse replies that she'd be honored.
