Phantom is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is classic horror films actor Frederick Vincent's black pet cat.

Phantom is a black cat that lives in the old opera house with his owner, classic horror films actor Frederick Vincent. While trying to set up a benefit concert to save the building, Terri, one of the Starlight Girls, bumps a few times with Phantom. Being very scaredy and superstitious, she is initially terrified at every sighting of him, believing that crossing his path will bring her bad luck. However, after wandering alone through the opera house, she discovers the real perpetrators of all the mysterious accidents that had been recently happening. The villains discover her and start chasing after her. During the pursuit, Terri manages to find and free the real Mr. Vincent from his cell, who apart from thanking her for freeing him, also shows gratitude for finding his pet cat.
In the end, the villains are apprehended and the concert is carried out with great success. Afterward, Phantom jumps to Terri's arms and both remain good friends.
