- Not to be confused with Mick.
Mickey is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is one of Eric Raymond's hired goons. He only appeared in the episode Old Meets New.
History[]
While discussing with The Misfits their next move about how to force Bobby Bailey and the other tenants to leave their building so they can demolish it and build a record factory in its place, Eric Raymond introduces his two new goons to them: Torch and Mickey, two threatening-looking and non-talkative muscleheads.
That night, both men secretly go to the building in question. While Torch breaks into the edifice and sabotages the water pipes system, Mickey climbs a nearby power pole and cuts off the wiring, leaving the structure without electricity. This misdeed goes out of hand, however, and the cut wire –still letting out a strong current– heads down directly toward Bobby Bailey, who was just returning home accompanied by The Holograms. Fortunately, Kimber notices the impending danger and quickly tackles down Mr. Bailey, saving him from the falling wire.
Mickey climbs down from the post and, seeing himself discovered, starts running away. The girls go in his pursuit, but the goon manages to easily outrun them and escapes into a nearby park.
Both him and Torch are seen once again the next day lazing out on Raymond's yacht, when The Holograms suddenly arrive on boat to tell Eric they found official documents that won't allow him to tear down the building. Once they're gone, Eric addresses both men and tells them not to worry, planning his next move. However, neither Mickey nor Torch are ever seen again after this.
Appearance and personality[]
Mickey is a tall musclehead who apparently isn't much with words. He has blond hair fashioned in a very short style, giving him the appearance of a soldier. This military-like imagery is further accentuated by him wearing a white, short-sleeved shirt featuring images of anchors on his shoulders, in addition to having most of the chest area unbuttoned and the sleeves wrapped up just below the shoulders, giving him the overall appearance of a sailor or possibly an ex-Navy soldier.
He is usually seen displaying an uninterested or distracted expression, although he also seems to have the habit of randomly smiling for no apparent reason. This in conjunction with his non-talkative personality might make one think that he isn't very intelligent, although he has shown to have at least enough knowledge on electrical wirings as to not electrocute himself while cutting the street power lines.

Trivia[]
- Apparently, Mickey is a great runner.
- Oddly, after having quite a big introduction by Eric Raymond, neither Mickey nor Torch ever reappeared in the series.
- Both Mickey and Torch physically resemble and play a very similar role as Fenton and Stoke, respectively, from the episode Britrock, in that the former is a tall blond musclebound and the latter a long-haired metalhead who work for the episode's main antagonist, with their job mainly consisting on performing acts of sabotage.
