Mama Lou

Mama Lou is a minor character in the Jem animated series. She in the 45th episode, Mardi Gras. She is a passenger on the Dixie Lady steamer and appears to be the town's well-known fortune teller.

History[]

Mama Lou first approaches Shana on their steamer ship to New Orleans, mistaking her for the late famous singer, Lily LaRose. She tells her to "beware of zombies on Fat Tuesday", which Jem and The Holograms later learn is a warning about The Zomboys who are hired to kidnap the girl group during the last day of the Mardi Gras parade so that The Misfits can take over their performance.

Appearance[]

Mama Lou has short blue-gray hair, black eyes and a face wrinkled by age and wisdom. She wears a blue and yellow polka-dot bandanna, adorned with blue hoop earrings and a blue pearl necklace. She covers up with a red shawl over a white top and blue skirt, clad in neat brown boots.
