Lin (last name unknown) is a minor character in the Jem animated series. She is a big fan of Jem and The Holograms, and becomes the temporary owner of the Jemstar Earrings when they go missing in Adventure in China.
History[]
Lin welcomes Jem and the Holograms to Beijing after gathering with a large crowd of fans at the airport. She later is gifted a pair of shiny red star-shaped earrings by her father, who discovered them after they were thrown off the train by The Misfits. She wears them to see Jem and The Holograms at their concert at the Great Wall of China, where she is bullied by a boy who attempts to steal the earrings. Jerrica goes to step in, but Lin defends herself with martial arts, and the boy runs away. Jerrica tells her she is very brave, but unfortunately Jem won't be performing. Lin is deeply saddened by this, and offers her earrings as a good luck charm. The earrings turn out to be the real pair, and Jerrica transforms into her alter-ego, meaning the concert is back on. Eternally grateful, Jem dedicates the song "Love Unites Us" to Lin, in which she features in the music video. After the concert, she receives her own pair of earrings from Jem as a token of gratitude and friendship.
