History[]
On their third stop while traveling through time, thanks to Techrat's "Time Travel Device", The Holograms arrive at the Woodstock festival of 1969. A man holding a guitar and apparently upset exits a nearby van and tramples upon with the girls, who are still lying on the floor after their time trip. He informs them where they are and invites them to listen to some music, when suddenly Jem realizes who he is: legendary rock guitarist Johnny Beldrix. Johnny then explains the reason of his displeasure, and that's because his manager is forcing him to play with some "unhip chicks" called The Misfits or else he won't get to play on the concert at all.
The Misfits, on their part, are thrilled to play at Woodstock, the "biggest concert of all time". Somehow, they got associated with Beldrix's manager, Willy, who doesn't appear to care that much for him and instead seems to be more excited to show his new lights show equipment to the audience.
The Holograms confront The Misfits backstage, although this doesn't bother them, knowing they have nothing to prove against them, and also because they are under Willy's wing. Jem asks them if they're not forgetting about someone, and then she quickly goes behind a big amplifier and asks Synergy to project a hologram or Eric Raymond. Learning that they are already signed to a manager, Willy quickly dismisses the deal with The Misfits and asks Johnny if he's ready to play, to which the latter agrees. Johnny thanks The Holograms for their help; he kisses Jem on the cheek and leaves to perform to the audience with great success.
