Jaeme Costas is a minor character in the Jem animated series. She is featured in the 59th episode, Midsummer Night's Madness. She is the second but temporary identity of Jerrica Benton.
She was voiced by Samantha Newark.
History[]
Jaeme is created as a suggestion by the Phaedra Oracle, when Jerrica can't seem to sort out her love life in Greece. She collides into Rio after transforming into her and they both fall to the ground, laughing at their clumsiness. Rio tells her that even though they just met, it feels like he's known her all his life. Rio then takes her around the town of Athens, showing her local restaurants and citizens. It is there that they bump into The Holograms, who are outraged at Rio for seemingly moving on from Jerrica so quickly. Jaeme tells Rio to wait for her and catches up to the group to reveal who she really is, which only makes them worry for her, as she doesn't seem to be making any sense.
She also appears after Riot declares his sudden and feigned love to Jerrica, but once she spots Rio running after Minx, Jerrica decides she has given up with the Oracle's idea of 'Jaeme' entirely.
Personality[]
Jaeme's personality seems to be tame and laid-back in comparison to her counterparts. She immediately falls into the same pattern of being enamored by Rio and even flirts with him a little. She isn't recognized by the rest of The Holograms, and stays silent when they comment on her being with Rio despite his relationship with Jem/Jerrica.

Trivia[]
- Her name sounds similar to "Jem", hinting on Jerrica's other alter ego.
- This isn't the first time Jem uses a disguise in the show, but is certainly one of the longer appearances she keeps up.
