Fenton is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is one of Lord Trevor's hired goons, along with his colleague Stoke, who was hired to assassinate his nephew and Wissex earlship heir, Mason Hawthorne.

He was voiced by Philip L. Clarke.

History[]

We first meet Fenton and his partner in crime, Stoke, when Lord Trevor addresses them in a side room of his mansion after dealing with the Burns family. Mr. Trevor asks the duo if they have located the real heir of the earldom of Wissex, to which Stoke replies they have and that they tracked him to a club in London. Mr. Trevor then reminds them they know what to do and that it must be done before eight o'clock of the next day.

The next day, we can see the pair of goons standing outside the "Unicorn Club" while roadies are unloading The Holograms' music equipment from a truck. Pretending to be two more of these roadies, Fenton and Stoke enter the establishment and head toward the stage. There, Stoke starts working while Fenton keeps and eye. Stoke places a timed bomb inside the drum set, intended to kill Mason Hawthorne with it, and both men then leave the place.

Due to an argument between Aja and Craig Phillips, most of the people leave the establishment, with only Craig and his little sister, Stormer, remaining inside. The bomb goes off, but fortunately, Craig and Stormer are far enough from the artifact to produce any fatal casualties. After this outrage, Mason, his friend Sir Hugh and The Holograms head to the mansion to put a stop to Lord Trevor once and for all.

The group arrive to the mansion right when the clock is striking eight o'clock, marking the moment when Mason can claim his title as earl. Seeing themselves cornered, the villains attempt to flee. When they see the new earl, Fenton and Stoke, who were waiting outside, also try to escape, but Jem uses her earrings to project a hologram of a pack of dogs blocking their path, which distracts the goons long enough for them to be captured, with Sir Hugh tackling Fenton and Mason tackling Stoke. We next see Lord Trevor, Fenton and Stoke being arrested and put inside a police car.

Trivia[]

  • Both Fenton and Stoke physically resemble and play a very similar role as Mickey and Torch, respectively, from the episode Old Meets New, in that the former is a tall blond musclebound and the latter is a long-haired metalhead who work for the episode's main antagonist, with their job mainly consisting on performing acts of sabotage.
