The cleaner is a minor character in the Jem animated series. She is featured in the 30th episode, One Jem Too Many. She is one of Clash's many remarkably deceiving disguises.
She was voiced by Cathy Cavadini.
History[]
The cleaner is quickly created by Clash in One Jem Too Many as a quick, anonymous identity when Jerrica is searching for the culprit behind a Jem lookalike. The cleaner first appears when Jerrica chases a fake Jem at a music distributor show, but is lead to Clash dressed as the cleaner at dead-end. Jerrica accosts the cleaner, demanding she knows where "Jem" went, and she demands everything.
The cleaner then shows up at Misfits Music, where Eric tells her to do her duties some other time. She then removes her mask and fake glasses, to reveal Jem's face beneath. The Misfits immediately jump on her, with Jetta telling her to get lost. Pizzazz, however, in on the act, tells Clash to remove the Jem mask to reveal herself. The Misfits and Eric are pleasantly surprised by the reveal and join in on the plan.
While Jerrica uses the Jemstar Earrings to impersonate aliases through holograms, such as Jaeme, Clash uses her raw talent for design and costume-making to create believable disguises which have fooled Jem and The Holograms numerous times.
