The Building Inspector (unofficial name) is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is a city inspector in charge to check the safety of the Opera House before hosting a concert by Jem and The Holograms.
History[]
An unnamed city inspector in charge to make sure the city's old Opera House owned by Frederick Vincent is in safe conditions to host the upcoming Jem and The Holograms benefit concert.
Wanting to stop the concert from taking place so it doesn't interfere with their own Halloween concert, Pizzazz brings the inspector to the opera house, where he's given a tour through the building by Rio, who had already made his own inspection of the structure. Once the inspection is finished, Jem invites him to their concert, and the inspector replies that he will indeed be back... but only to make one final inspection.
A series of mysterious accidents then start occurring in the opera house and, as warned, the day of the concert the inspector returns. Rio tries to buy some time by distracting him at the entrance while The Holograms try to solve the mystery behind all the recent accidents, but he eventually is forced to let him in.
Inside, they find that Frederick and The Holograms have managed to corner the responsibles of all the recent accidents; one of them being corrupt real estate agent Terrance Landau. The inspector arrests Landau and the concert is carried out that night without any further issues.
