Bob Merrit

Bob Merrit is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is the 16th episode, Broadway Magic. He is a Broadway producer looking for rock stars to feature in his new musical.

History[]

Bob is searching to find a new inspiration as he feels his life is boring, when he comes up with the idea alongside his secretary to create a musical for Broadway, and wants to hire rock stars to perform in it. He advertises his musical in the Showbiz Daily newspaper, which Rio and Eric read, telling both The Misfits and Jem and the Holograms to audition at the Theater Palace. He enjoys both performances and can't immediately make up his mind - so he announces the winner on Lin-Z TV, which turns out to be The Holograms with The Misfits as understudies. The Misfits attempt to sabotage them all through the episode so they may take over, but with the help of Synergy, The Holograms manage to attend the show.

Personality[]

Bob is very skittish and loses attention quickly, wearing a toupee that constantly falls out of place during his manic energy. He does appear to be smart and creative with his fast reaction to hearing music and creating a Broadway musical. He loses his patience easily if there are any interruptions with his work.
