- James - Bass guitar
- Alan - Keyboard
- Craig Phillips - Drums
History[]
Shortly after arriving to England, Sir Hugh Ridley takes Jem and The Holograms to meet his new establishment, the Unicorn Club, where they'll be performing benefit that weekend during its opening. Inside, he introduces another band to them that will also be playing during the inauguration: the Blue Bloods. Their members are very amicable and present themselves: Mason Hawthorne on main guitar and leader of the band, James on bass guitar, Alan on keyboard, and none other than Craig Phillips on drums, Aja's romantic partner during "The Talent Search" saga.
Both lovers retake their relationship during The Holograms staying in England, and on their part, it is hinted a slight romantic attraction between Jem and Mason. Mason actually happens to be the heir of the Wissex earlship, and noticing the spark going on between them, James tries to talk in his favor and tell Jem about this, but Mason stops him before he can do so.
Mason has an uncle named Lord Trevor who lives in the sumptuous Wissex estate. He wants to stop his nephew from claiming his title of Earl the next day, when he turns 21, and for this end, he hires two goons to assassinate him. The next day, while roadies are unloading The Holograms' music equipment from a truck, the two henchmen enter the Unicorn Club making themselves pass as more members of the crew. They head directly to the stage and plant a timed bomb on the drum set, intending to kill Mason with it.
Fortunately, due to an argument between Aja and Craig, where he was trying to tell her that Stormer was his little sister and Aja misunderstood that he was trying to tell her she was his wife instead, almost everybody left the establishment before the bomb went off. Only Craig and Stormer remained inside, but luckily, far enough from the artifact to be seriously injured.
After this outrage, Mason decided it was time to put a stop to his uncle once and for all, and he, Sir Hugh and The Holograms set on their way to the Wissex estate. They arrived just as the clock was striking eight o'clock, marking the moment when Mason turned 21 and could claim his title as the new Earl of Wissex. They managed to stop all the conspirators and had them arrested.
Since the Unicorn Club had been completely destroyed during the bomb incident, it was convened to carry the concert at the Wissex estate, which turned out to be a great success, and whose proceeds helped Mason pay all of Lord Trevor's debts, as well as even having enough leftover money to pay for Sir Hugh's club reconstruction.
Trivia[]
- Craig is the only member without brown hair.
- "Blue blood" is a term associated with people of nobility, which is presumably a reference to Mason, as he later claims his title as Earl of Wissex.
