Aurelio Alonso

Aurelio Alonso is a minor character in the Jem animated series. He is Raya's 14 year old brother, who helps in the family business at the nursery.

History[]

Aurelio is first seen rushing at his father Miguel at the nursery to hand him over a flyer announcing the upcoming "Starlight Talent Search", where The Holograms are carrying out a contest looking for a new drummer. Miguel immediately goes to show it to his drummer enthusiast daughter, Raya.

Aurelio is later seen with his family accompanying Raya at the announcement of the semifinalists of the contest.

He is next seen the morning after a gang trashed the nursery's greenhouse, tidying up the place along with the rest of his family. When Raya leaves under the excuse that she has something to do, Aurelio goes after her and asks her if she isn't going to attend the contest's press conference that's going to be held later that day, to which Raya replies that it wouldn't matter, as (according to her) the contest is fixed for Craig Phillips to win.

In his last scene, Aurelio, along with his family, is attending the announcement of the contest's winner, which Raya ends up winning. After the announcement, a reporter asks both him and his brother, Roberto, if they could open the stage's curtains. Noticing that Jem is about to transform back into Jerrica behind the curtains, Raya rushes backstage to warn her and prevent her from revealing her secret.
