Anthony Julian is a clever and creative film director, and friend of Lindsey Pierce and Video. He is also Shana's boyfriend, with whom has been in a steady relationship for most of the series.[2]
He directed the "Twilight In Paris" music video[3] and the movie Starbright.[4]
He was voiced by T. K. Carter.
History[]
The Holograms met Anthony during a cruise on Countess Danielle Du Voisin's yacht. Jem successfully set Shana and Anthony up, who instantly fell in love together. Since then, he has been directing The Holograms' music videos, perhaps the most memorable being "Twilight in Paris".[3]
Due to his job, he also has many connections in the entertainment industry; one of them being acquaintances with recognized video director, Vivien "Video" Montgomery, whom he introduced to the rest of The Holograms.[4]
Julian was hired to direct The Holograms' film, Starbright, at World Studios, which the band won a contract for its production as part of the prize for winning the "Battle of the Bands" rock music contest. However, the studio was unexpectedly sold to Harvey Gabor, Pizzazz's father, and The Misfits were made costars of the film, while Eric Raymond was put in charge of the entire production. Not to much surprise, Anthony and Raymond started to butt heads from the very beginning, up to the point that Julian couldn't stand the constant changes and absurd decisions from the new administration and was the first person to quit the production, leaving Raymond to direct the film by himself.
Things went from bad to worse with every passing day and most of the remaining staff quit too, including the main stars, The Holograms. The crew stood in solidarity with Jem and The Holgrams to finish the film independently at Starlight Mansion. As expected, Anthony was put in charge to direct the film again, which ended being a huge success.[5]
Appearance[]
Anthony usually wears a blue jacket with a blue under shirt and gray pants. He also fashions a perfectly trimmed and dashing mustache.
Personality[]
Anthony is very supportive of Shana and the rest of The Holograms, and has directed many of their music videos. Manly, elegant, successful, and well educated, it's no wonder why Shana fell for him at first sight.

- He is the second boyfriend to have appeared in the series, the first being Rio.
- According to Christy Marx, she got idea for the name "Anthony Julian" from her stepson, where she reversed his name: "Julian Anthony Ledger".
- His skin tone is frequently changed between an intense dark to a light dark tone. These probably were errors by the animation team(s), as his skin can be seen changing tones along sequential episodes (for example, during the "Starbright" episodes).
