A Change of Heart

A Change of Heart is the tenth episode of the third season, and the 63rd episode overall, of the Jem animated series.

Synopsis[]

When Minx has a near-death experience, she decides to change her attitude and become kind and helpful, much to the dismay of Riot and Rapture. She sets out to do all kinds of good deeds for Rio, Jerrica, Jem and the rest of The Holograms to make up for her past bad behavior. Unfortunately, the new Minx turns out to be much more trouble that the old one.

Trivia[]

The Misfits and Eric Raymond make a minor appearance.
Near the end of the episode, when The Stingers are about to perform, they start playing The Misfits' song "Outta My Way", before the fuse box shorts out.
This episode marked the last on-screen appearances of Eric Raymond and Clash.
After this episode, Minx seems to lose her attraction to Rio.
This is the first time in the series where a character has contemplated suicide.
One possible reason why Minx was so desperate for Rio's help after she was kicked out of The Stingers is because in Riot's Hope, it was revealed that The Stingers were homeless for some time while performing on the streets in Europe. It is possible Minx feared she would have to return back to that grueling lifestyle once she was kicked out.
